Privacy Policy

Feathershot doesn't collect anything. It makes no network requests of any kind - no analytics, no crash reporting, no telemetry, no ads, no CDN. Everything it does happens on your machine, and there is nothing to sign in to.

• Your screenshots or any image you edit
• Account information - Feathershot has no accounts or sign-in
• Usage analytics, telemetry, or crash reports
• Your IP address, device identifiers, or location
• Any data sent over the network, because Feathershot doesn't use the network

Screenshots and images you paste or capture are held in memory only for as long as you're editing them, and are written to disk only when you explicitly choose Save.

Your preferences - theme, default style, named presets, and toggles like whether Feathershot watches the clipboard - are stored in a small local settings file on your own machine. It is never transmitted anywhere and is removed if you uninstall the app.

Feathershot is sold as a one-time purchase through the Microsoft Store. Your payment details are handled entirely by Microsoft; Feathershot itself never sees or stores any payment or billing information. See Microsoft's privacy statement for how they handle that.

Feathershot is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age - it doesn't collect information from anyone at all.

If this policy ever changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Given that the app doesn't collect data by design, we don't expect that to change.
